Sales Manager

The Sales Manager will be responsible for building relationships and growing the business network. Reporting to the CEO, the Sales Manager will be in charge of defining the company’s sales strategy and forecast and monitoring sales KPIs. This position calls for a flexible, organised individual with strong managerial and sales skills and a proven track record of experience in converting sales leads into contracts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify business opportunities by looking for prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Define the company’s sales strategy and forecast and monitor KPI’s in order to achieve sales targets
  • Build relationships with prospective clients by establishing contact and developing relationships
  • Contact potential clients and conduct research on decision makers
  • Maintain a database of all prospective clients and update on a regular basis
  • Visit sales leads and organise product demonstrations
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Provide updates of sales targets and generate ideas on how to achieve those targets
  • Attend conferences and trade fairs where you give live product demonstrations

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and other tools, excellent computer skills
  • Proficient in Dutch, French and English
  • Experience in selling in the health industry is considered an asset
  • Strong leadership, organization, customer focused and commercial skills are fundamental for this role. Furthermore, you are stress resistant and you have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Besides this you also have strong proactive business insights and the ability to understand high-level sales strategies
  • Accountability through every stage of client business: prospecting, presenting, and negotiating

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred
  • Affinity to IT is an asset
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a similar role
  • Driver’s license
